Nutrient Depletion in Pregnancy & Spacing Pregnancies

Approximately 74% of American women are lacking proper nutrients in their diet. The effects of this level of depletion may not be currently apparent in your state of health, but at some moment in time down the genetic chain someone in your family will suffer from this level of loss. Our genome has been squandered for too many years, which may be the cause of the massive reproduction issues we are now experiencing. Each generation will suffer more if we don’t start to pay closer attention to our body’s needs. It is only natural that we will start to see more problems with health in years to come as individuals will likely begin to physically age faster, suffer emotionally and develop diseases at higher rates. In order to protect your children, you not only need to eat right, but you also must consider spacing your children or fully replenishing your nutrient levels between each pregnancy.

In the Western culture, it is common for women to have babies later in life. As a result of this, if they choose to have multiple children, they are birthing them closer together. This does not allow for their bodies to build back proper nutrient reserves, which affects the child’s genome and the mother’s health. Catherine Shanahan explained in her book, Deep Nutrition: Why Your Genes Need Nutritional Food, that the fetus behaves similar to a parasite within the womb and is oblivious to the health of the host. The baby will take whatever it needs in order to survive. You will possibly have enough nutrients for your first baby, but will likely be depleted after having more children if you don’t renew your level of health. The women of some tribal cultures naturally understood this. They used to attempt to separate their children by three to four years in order to ensure that their bodies would have enough time to nutritionally build themselves back up. They did this naturally to protect the health of their future generations and their genome.

Learn why it is important to eat healthy and detox before pregnancy

The toxic overload humans are facing today makes it much harder to connect to the subtle state of oneness that our ancestors once had, and we must now work much harder to detoxify and repair our bodies. This is especially important if we are carrying children or if you are planning on becoming pregnant. You want to create a clean body before conception because this something you can’t do while pregnant. Individuals like Villoldo, many other professionals on the planet, and myself are urging people to clean their diet by eliminating some of the toxins that are damaging the gut and taking away the good bacteria needed for health. There is a great movement toward a diet that lacks gluten and is free of sugar, dairy, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and heavy metals. It is important to release these toxins but also vital to replenish our system with the nutrients and supplements required to create healthy gut flora.

The Connection Between Our Brain & Food

In order for us to build a new earth we need to change and upgrade our hormones, nervous system, and brain chemistry. Alberto Villodi, author of One Spirit Medicine, wrote an excellent book that makes the connection between our diet, the brain – gut health, and our ability to connect to Spirit and our higher self. He explained that most of the population is running on the limbic brain, which was created for survival and meeting just our basic needs. This part of our brain functions like an animal and is focused on feeding, fighting, fleeing, and fornicating. The human body was not created to operate for just these lower needs and we are cutting ourselves short of our mind-blowing capabilities when we draw our energy from these lower functions.

The limbic system is the part of the brain that craves sugar and cant turn down comfort foods. It is the center that is obsessed with food, in need of constant sex or attention, and suffers from addiction to mind dulling drugs and alcohol. When you are emotionally withdrawing, feeling biased or negative towards another person, or filled with destructive behavior you are functioning from this part of your brain. Most of us are not even aware that we are operating with these types of belief systems, and thus the world is being filled with fear, a lot of guns, and a tendency to run from ourselves. You can see the drive of the limbic system clearly displayed on social media with newsfeeds filled with, fear, food or sex.
